Themes for Season 3

Alabasta is our first major arc in One Piece realistically. It is the first time where things seem super grim for the strawhats each in their own way. I love how One Piece is goofy and proud of it, I feel like however for the Liva Action format Season 3 needs to be much grittier.

Crocodile is the first major threat to the crew as well as the top agents, I want to see no holds barred in the depravity and damage influcted by him and the top agents, so far the showrunners have done an excellent job of creating tension for the earlier arcs, this arc needs to be full of dread imo to really capture what I feel alot of non anime fans would be after.

Would love this to be shown in the trailer as well, literally show that side shot of croc piercing luffy with his hook and holding him off the ground.

Do you think they sjould completely lean in on the dark themes that can be brought to Alabasta and sacrifice some goofiness we as anime fans love? or continue with a balanced mix for this season?
