Cambridge MLMI vs CMU ML vs ETH vs EPFL vs Oxford: best masters for top AI PhD?

Hey everyone,

Trying to decide between:

• Cambridge (MLMI)
• CMU (MS ML)
• ETH Zurich (MSc CS)
• EPFL (MSc CS)
• Oxford (MSc Advanced CS)

Honestly, a tough choice since I’d be happy at any of them.

My goal is a top-tier ML PhD (e.g., MIT or Stanford), and I care mostly about which program actually sets me up best for that path.

Leaning towards Cambridge right now, but CMU and ETH are also really tempting for different reasons.

What would you pick and why? Would love to hear from people who’ve gone through similar decisions.
