Possibility of Financial Aid

Let me start off I’m 29 years old about to be 30 and a stay at home mom. My husband and I recently talked about me wanting to go back to school because I’m very self conscious about not having a degree of any kind at my age. Most people I went to high school with are in their career and have masters or bachelors at least. However I’m just a mom. So I decided to start over and go back to school for Management. However when I was 18-19 I was enrolled in community college and I think I took a total of 7 or 8 classes. I failed/dropped out of 3 of them. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to do an SAP appeal. However a lot has changed since when I first attended college I was a pregnant teen mom with zero support. Not from the father or my parents. My parents told me I had to work and go to school if I wanted to stay. But they did not want to help with the baby. And on top of that during the time I was in school we also found out my grandma was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Over all it was a really rough time and ultimately chose to do my best with devoting all my time to my daughter and a job rather than school and just stopped doing the work and stopped attending. My daughter is now 11 and we have a younger child who’s in preschool so I will have more time and can devote most of my time to my education. Idk if anyone has any experience getting an SAP appeal approved in my situation or if they didn’t have a problem getting an approval for FAFSA or if they got approved for a federal student loan. I just kinda wanna get ahead and have an idea of what’s to come. Sorry for the long post. Thanks for sticking along. Please be kind and be respectful. I am well aware I made mistakes and handled it all wrong but I was young with pretty much no guidance and was just trying to survive. I’m trying to do better now.
