Advice or recommendations

Hi all, new to the sub but I'm on the cusp of needing a new car and I have a bug in my brain that it needs to be a Buick. My first ever car was a '98 Century and I loved that thing. I am not a "car guy" so I am kinda lost on what good options are and what to look for. I am mid-30s with a newborn but, while my wife's car will likely be the main child transport, I'd still like the option to load the family up with our dog and be comfortable.

There is a 2020 Regal Sportback at my local dealer that I'm waffling on, but after doing some looking, I'm worried the 2.0 turbo engine might need more attention than I'm able to give it.

I have heard good things about the Lacrosse, but I don't think there are any close enough for me to test drive.

I'd love to hear people's thoughts or opinions! Thank you in advance.
