tongue piercing bleeding

i got a tongue piercing on monday and i ate soup about an hour and a half ago. after i ate it (it wasnt hot it was warm) , it has not stopped bleeding! its not spots of blood either its quite alot.what should i do? sleep on it? is it urgent or will a toothbrush and some mouthwash help it?
