Help a teacher

hey, I'm a literature teacher and because the school system is evil I end up with an extracurricular class, they told to teach something I know, something I like, something that the kids would like. The thing is I know a lot about insects and other little creatures, I collect them and preserve them as a hobby, but I'm not sure what to teach. So i'm here asking for ideas, projects, activities, anything that I could do with my students (ages 10 to 14).
