PRTD update?

My application went under process on 26th of march at delhi VAC and my flight is on 10th April so only 8 days left with 1 weekend so basically 6 days left to process, is there any possibility or should i let my employer know that i wont be back on time.

or is there anyway to cancel the application and ask for the passport back as i received my PR card and wont really need the prtd

what are my best options
