Hair loss on methylphenidate

I’ve been on immediate release methylphenidate since October, but upped my dose jut before Christmas, then upped to 3 times a day in January.

Since then I’ve noticed a steady loss of hair at my temples, which is worse on one side.

I thought I was being paranoid, but I’m now at the stage where it’s fairly obvious that it is actually falling out and I’ve become super self-conscious about it, to the point where I’m thinking I’m going to have to come off the meds entirely.

Obviously I don’t want to come off them, but I also can’t lose my hair.

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it take for hair to grow back when stopping?

Has anyone switched to a non-stimulant and had their hair come back?
