AITAH for falling out of love with him?

Hello Reddit,

My Husband and I have been together for 5 years. He is a maintenance man by trade and I am a basic factory worker. This will be important later. While I love him I feel I am falling out of love and have been getting the "ick" from him.

Other these 5 years we have had our ups and downs like everyone else. However I have looked past most things until recently. He has issues with the way I parent my son (10 now), pay bills, clean the house.

I present the "ick" factors.

  1. He fell through the deck a few years ago. He didn't get hurt! The hole was right in the middle of the door way so you had to shimmy out the door if you wanted to walk out on the deck. This went unfixed for over a year. I borrowed my dads truck and went and got the stuff to fix it. Fixed it like a pro and had no issues with that one spot. (This will be important later).

  2. We had a leak in our bathroom sink. I had to fix it.

  3. I disassembled the deck by myself minus the parts that had poison ivy (super allergic). This deck was huge and was falling apart in areas and not worth fixing anymore. He did throw it in the hopper I paid for (he said he would pay for it).

  4. He hired someone to mow our yard. Our yard is not a large yard. It takes maybe an hour to mow by push mower.

Now, my flaws.

  1. Lazy as heck! I hate cleaning.

  2. I'm rude when I've had enough of certain things.

  3. Passive aggressive.

While our house is messy it is not dirty. We don't have sticky floors, bugs, ect. I know I am not the perfect person by any means. However, I have to do all the manual labor on top of keeping the house presentable. I feel like I am both Man and Woman of this household and he just gives me rent money. Oh and remember he is a MAINTENANCE man by trade. So, he knows HOW to do said things he just DOESN'T.

Am I valid in my "ick" at the moment? Am I just the A-hole?

As a side note we have talked about all this and he says "Why say or do anything about it when it's not going to change anything".
