Advice regarding FIL

I’ve been married to my husband for almost a year, and we have a baby due in May.

Yesterday, his mom told me that his dad assaulted a 16 year old girl a few years ago and went to jail. She also said she caught him cheating recently.

I honestly don’t know what to do with this information. I feel really stuck. My husband knows and has never mentioned any of this, and his mom told me not to bring it up if he hasn’t. But it feels weird keeping something this serious from him.

I already don’t like his dad, but I pretend to. he’s very controlling and acts like a perfect religious man. I am not religious at all and I feel forced to wear the hijab around him because of how he reacts.

This whole situation makes me really uncomfortable, and knowing this now just makes it worse With a baby on the way. I feel really conflicted about whether I should bring this up to my husband or stay quiet like his mom asked.
