How do I get medication prescribed by Community Care?

I have only used the VA for all my medical needs and they handle all my prescriptions.

VA Mental Health referred me to a psychiatrist via community care because it will take too long to be seen by someone at the VA.

Knowing that things can't work smoothly, how does this work?

Does the psychiatrist send the prescriptions to the VA? Do I have to handle it?

My anxiety is already high and I want to make sure that I am prepared.
