A Burden
Just realized i wrote a few poems in the past and wanted to share my favorite with yall...
(note I mostly wrote them as a coping mechanism when my mental health was at its absolute worst. I tended to get very poetic and use lots of metaphores so I put that into something.)
a hand from above takes me from darkness.
into light.
the fog is gone leaving a crisp image.
I grasp the hand.
the owner is shaped like me.
they are square, and i am too, though I have rounded corners.
I need someone shaped like me.
I grasp the lifeline.
their gone.
maybe my corners are too rounded.
I start sinking.
I grasp the air.
I yell.
the hand moves reluctantly.
when im back I start sinking.
I grasp nothing
I yell.
I yell.
I scream.
I grasp the hand.
yet its gone.
I dont need square people though.
I'll trudge knee deep alone.
I grasp my hand.
a wall of glass.
the owner with a square.
I'm trapped outside.
they grasp eachothers hands.
I scream.
I scream.
I gasp.
I grasp my throat.
I lay
sinking.
a hand reaches below.
I grasp the hand.
