Why do refillable devices always taste worse than disposables? (Need advice)

I’ve been dealing with this issue for a while and it’s honestly frustrating.

I’ve noticed that pod devices and refillable systems always have a weird, harsh, almost off taste compared to disposables. The difference is really noticeable .. disposables feel smooth, flavorful, and consistent, while refillable setups just don’t hit the same.

The thing is, I’ve tried pretty much everything. I’ve used different types of devices, from pod systems to pod mods to full box mods, and no matter what I use, I keep getting the same result. The flavor just feels off, sometimes harsh, sometimes kind of “dry” or artificial.

I’ve also experimented with a lot of different e-liquids and flavors (including different nicotine types), but nothing really gave me that clean, smooth disposable-like experience.

At this point I’m starting to wonder if I’m doing something wrong, or if this is just how refillable devices are.

The main reason I want to switch is to save money, disposables are getting expensive .. but the experience with refillable devices is just not enjoyable for me right now.

So I wanted to ask:

Is there a way to make refillable devices taste closer to disposables?

Are there specific settings, coils, or types of e-liquid I should be using?

Or is this just something you can’t really replicate?

Any advice would be appreciated, especially from people who made the switch successfully.
