Making kid's swimsuit with "regular" clothing pattern?
I want to try making some swimsuits this summer. I have swimwear fabric and a TON of kid's patterns and don't really want to spend money on another pattern for a swimsuit that I might only use once.
Is it possible to use a regular clothing pattern (like the Waves & Wild Speedy Pants or Patterns for Pirates Basic Tee) to make a swimsuit top and bottom?
I'm doing my research into negative ease, stretch needles, stretch stitches, and notions for clothing that will get wet but haven't been able to find many good resources to say whether this is something that works well. Thanks for any tips, horror stories, or other advice.
