I just defeated the Corrupted Parade Master and found the hotel thrashed

So I was suspecting this would happen when I encountered Alidoro in the swamp sussily muttering about betraying us and figuring out he’s probably a fraud. So my question is, if I never invited that asshole to the hotel would it have still been attacked? If so what is the explanation for how they do it without his betrayal.
