The Fan Bounty developers soon realised where the money was, and leaned into it. The app took on a decidedly adult edge. Paying a momfluencer to post topless photos. Paying the reality star of the moment to upload audio of herself climaxing.

The app had a simple interface. Type in a name, Instagram, or TikTok handle, and you'd see a listing of every bounty posted for that person. And before long, pretty much every woman with any kind of public profile had a growing pot of money inducing them to post a sex tape. For celebrities, bounties would typically be in the millions, but even for the average woman, payouts could be significant. The average college cheerleader would be able to wipe out her tuition debt, if she chose to.

Porn studios caught on quickly, making bids on top of the posted bounties for women who decided to take the plunge to make their adult debut with them. If you've made the decision to post a sex tape online, why not get paid a little extra to do it professionally?

Of course, not everyone would take that offer. But when one video could make you a life changing amount of money, it might be hard to say no.
