Advice about moving tanks wanted :)

Sooo I’m still in the process of cycling a new tank given that my minibow shat itself - I’m lucky the leak is relatively higher up so my shrimp are technically safe in there until the new one is ready - but I have a question after seeing something on here!

The gravel. I put a small layer of gravel in the new tank, just what I had leftover from when I first bought it, and I was planning on moving the existing tank’s gravel into the new one on ~moving day~ but I read that kicking up all the gunk and biofilm in the gravel can cause an ammonia spike. Is that right? If I agitate the gravel by moving it from one tank to another will I be making a mistake? Because if that’s the case I have no issue buying new gravel.
