looking for Russian/Soviet animated short

I’m trying to find an old Russian/Soviet animated short I watched years ago.

From what I remember, it features several animated animals living in a natural environment. Then some kind of flood or rising water happens, and it becomes a disaster. The animals lose their homes and belongings, and there’s a strong sense of sadness or loss.

The tone felt a bit melancholic rather than comedic, and I think it might have had little to no dialogue.

I also vaguely remember a character that looked similar to an elephant.

Does anyone recognize this short or know what it might be?
