Hey everyone — Dave here (I’m the CEO of Everysight - makers of the world's lightest weight, longest battery life AI glasses), and I wanted to share something we just launched and get feedback from this community.

We’ve been working on a new pair of AR glasses called Maverick AI, and the Kickstarter went live this week.

What we’re trying to do differently:

  • No waveguides in sight!
  • Keep it lightweight (target ~47g) so it’s something you’d actually wear all day
  • Full-color in-lens display (not a projector screen / not meant for movies)
  • Built more as a “heads-up layer for real life” vs a media device
  • Native eye-tracking on the Pro version (for more contextual / hands-free interaction)
  • Focus on practical use cases: translation, notifications, quick AI interactions, etc.
  • Prescription support (handled post-campaign)

A few clarifications based on common questions we’re already seeing:

  • Not designed for watching movies - technically possible, but not the goal
  • Display is monocular (right lens)
  • Connectivity is BLE (no wired data mode)
  • SDK is planned ASAP after the campaign for developers

We’re early in the process and know there’s still a lot to prove - especially around real-world UX and developer ecosystem.

If you’re curious, the project is here:

But more importantly, I’d really value input from this group:

  • What would actually make you wear something like this daily?
  • What have other smart glasses gotten wrong?
  • What would be a dealbreaker for you?

Happy to answer anything candidly (within reason). I know this space has seen a lot of overpromising, so feel free to be skeptical — that’s fair.
