Moving from Plex Media Server from Windows to MacOS - 2026 instructions?

There are a few guides but all are stale information and the offical info is missing the process of moving from the registry to a plist used for Mac.

I did manage to move the server from a dead PC to another temporary PC when my current ordeal happened but the Registry entires were essential to keep the same server name (no one wants to have to explain to Mum how to access the new server name).

Does anyone have any tips or steps to move from Windows to MacOS and keep the server as it is. I'm not worried about thumbnails but that part seems the easy part.

All my media is on my external NAS so no need to move drives - just move the Server/Transcoder.

Any pointers are greatly appreciated!
