Government grants advice needed

Throwaway account for reasons that will soon be obvious.

My company is involved in an England government funded project which has academic partners.

This means that the project is costed at a cost rate which is calculated by salary not the consultancy rate we’d usually charge clients. I suspect senior leaders at my business have been adjusting timesheets and submitting incorrect claims. I raised it when I spotted numbers that made no sense to me. The project will be audited.

What options do I have here for escalating my concerns? It feels really dodgy to me
