Is my gyno permanent now?
Most descriptions of gyno say that they should be lumps under your chest that are painful but I don’t have those anymore. I remember distinctly when I was around 12 or 13 I had them but within a year or two they kind of broke up inside my chest and since then my gyno has stayed a consistent stage 0.5-1ish.
I am now 19, there is no tenderness anymore but at my last physical I asked my doctor and she sorta brushed it off and said I have a few years and it’ll go away. I have been heavily contemplating getting the surgery as for the past 4 years I have been wearing compression tanks basically 24/7 because they poke out very noticeably and I really miss going to the pool or just being out in the sun shirtless.
I haven’t gotten the surgery yet because firstly my parents are super homophobic to the point they’d prob never let it go if I got it done and say I was trans or smth and because my doctor said it could still go away. At this point do you guys think my gyno is permanent and I should just bite the bullet and get the surgery? Should I try to get on tamoxifen first? If I were to get the surgery how would I keep it secret especially op day when I can’t drive back?
