Would you let your cheerleader go to competition without you?
My daughters are 8 and 11, and are both in the same all-star cheer team. They are going to a National cheer competition and have to take a flight to get there. Due to unexpected family circumstances, I can no longer take them. I told the cheer coach I would try to find a family member or even let them go with my sister (just turned 18) as they obviously can’t miss it, and another parent on the team offered to take the girls. She is so lovely and my kids love her daughter, but I am unsure whether to take her up on her offer or if it’s too much. The girls are young, but they are very mature/responsible for their age and I’m sure they would be alright but I also feel it’s putting so much additional pressure on the other mom, since she has to help now three girls get ready for a competition. Would love to know if anyone thinks this is too much or if I should just take the kind mother’s offer.
