Ui seems complicated and Leaders are frustrating?

New Player here with about 60hrs into the game. I absolutely love it. Its so much fun and I already bought all of the dlcs. I love that you can do anything and when i played I was often amazed of how many systems there are.

During my playtime there is two things I got frustrated about. The first thing is leaders. I can level them up and choose the perks they get, this is what I like. The part I don’t like is that they then just die and I kinda have to level up a new leader? I feels kinda frustrating or am I doing something wrong? Because of this I enjoyed playing machines because the note things aren’t dying.

The other thing is the UI. I feel like it is just overly complicated? For example when I hover over a building its just a black box with text in it and its hard to scan for important information. Why is it not divided into smaller boxes like one for price, upkeep, resources, etc. so that i can instantly see it. Maybe im also not fully used to it.
