de facto relationship rant

So, we all know that if you are in a ‘de facto relationship’ your payment gets cut. Though, how illogical are conservatives to think that an 18-21 year old can support another person their age on one income??? The only justifying response i’ve ever heard is old school social rules where the husband takes care of the family so that’s how relationships should be. BUT 18 YEAR OLDS???

Lots of disabled people end up in poverty so living with a partner is their only option so please don’t tell me that there’s not many young couples that are serious and going to stay together. I am literally one of them in this situation.

the government is seriously money hungry. I cannot afford to live on my pension as my medical bills are up to 2,000 per week. Then they expect me to get a job in the future when i cannot afford my medical treatment to get better and be able to work a job 🤦‍♀️

if they are worried about people spending money on drugs we could have a system where we get receipts of medical appts reimbursed. it’s as simple as that but literally no one cares.

Apologies for the rant but i’m so angry, why does no one care about non privileged individuals.
