Who's breaking who's heart?

I asked the tarot how my summer was gonna go.

I pulled 8 of cups + The Star + 3 of swords in that order

3 of swords means heartbreak as far as I know. I am in a relationship right now and its going well, but my ex is gonna be back in town and I feel a strong pull towards him, things ended quite badly and I moved on fast but still think about him a lot (I do feel guilty about this). Im scared I am gonna get heartbroken, either by him again reopening those wounds or in the opposite way we are gonna reconnect and then that will ruin what I got going on now (8 of cups?). I need some guidance. I don't know what to read out of this and I'm very overwhelmed by this whole situation and my feelings.
