Quick question and some thoughts
So I have an issue sometimes (which I believe a lot of us do) with allowing people to disrespect me, not in the way you think it’s more like I tend to go on my softer side when I realize that person is either mentally unstable or emotionally immature, it’s very hard for me to figure out what to do in situations like this, it’s like a weighted scale: 1. Don’t allow yourself to be disrespected but have a person that obviously is emotionally immature feeling either scared to talk or feel in general sadness because (what I’m assuming) they don’t understand mentally why someone is mad at them OR 2. Just allow it; at what cost though? I look at Jesus being kind hearted and very patient with people, but something reminded me of the incident where he came into his building to see people were in there selling things and bargaining and billing people and etc and he actually got mad and flipped the table telling them off for basically disrespecting his place, I’m sure a good number of those people were not mentally stable and could’ve been mentally immature, this is a great example I try to think of when I have issues with the things said way above ⬆️, what do you guys think? What advice would you give me about taking the matters into my own hands instead of just allowing myself to be disrespected to save someone else’s feelings? ✝️
