Having trouble with my laptops charging

I've noticed it over a couple weeks but it has now hit a really bad level. Basically, in order for either of my laptops chargers to actually charge the cable right next to the part you actually put in has to be at weird angles. Then, when it is in and the laptop is charging it makes an electrical noise like it's trying really hard.

It has to be something to do with the laptop surely, as it's two different chargers and they're both proper legit Dell ones.
