Is anyone really good at a game but afraid of pushing others away from said game due to skill?

seeking advice

I really hope this post doesn't come across as me stroking my ego over some video game, its not my goal. I just want to see what other people think

So Ive been playing Team Fortress 2 since 2014 since I was 8. And I still do now, its probably my biggest interest in life and is so integrated into my brain lol. even if my interest has faded somewhat as Ive gotten older and have had the opportunity to play other games. However obviously because Im so invested I get concerned about "keeping the game alive" and trying to make sure other people have interest in the game.

The biggest issue however is due to the games longevity and lack of help for new comers there comes a wider and wider skill curve, newer players struggle harder because theres more expert players that have pretty much memorized and invested so much time which I guess includes myself. Im in Oceania so a pretty isolated region with a lower population which means less players in my region as well. Which I feel puts more sort of pressure on me because theres statistically less people who will play the game

And so what ends up happening is that when I preform well such as top scoring or getting a bunch of kills I end up just not even really feeling good, I feel like Im just ruining someones experience of a game I want them to have fun in, I more so feel like that guy whos just a try hard ruining everyone's game even though Im not that at all, and I worry that Ill be the catalyst that makes people decide "well this game is too hard and it sucks" and they never touch the game again.

Its like I used to want to be good at the game, and now that I am its just not nice? I dont know if anyone can relate to me but its just something ive had on my mind.
