Used PTO without Permission

Education

A couple of weeks ago I took a day off, but made up for it by working on my off day that same week. A couple weeks go by, I look at my available PTO and see a day was used on that day I took off. We dont get pay stubs, so I had no way of seeing that it was used for that day. Overtime is not affected by this situation.

To add more context, this is a small business owned by my brother, and I have a higher standing because I have been around the longest. My brother is not the one that granted the PTO, it was someone else that works in the office.

What would be proper in this situation? I get my PTO back without any repercussions? Deal with it and move on? Realistically I should probably just move on, but it irks me that this happened without my knowledge, and I'm going to lose a PTO day that I could use later.
