Embrace pet insurance experiences if you used it?

Hey, I am sorry if this topic was asked a thousand times before. I just wasnt able to find a solid answer.. I am skeptical as I hear some people having great success with this but some reviewers claim the company looks through old medical records to find any prior symptom to justify denial.

Our dog had an ear infection a few years ago. I wonder if I should even bother with the insurance at this point...

Also, in terms of payout, I see some people claim they get fast payouts, others say they got insane delays setting up financial problems in the long run...

Is there even any insurance firm that would offer better chances to get their claims sorted? I get it theyre a business though I expect the pre-existing condition to not bleed into every potential future claim we might have to make
