No sense of urgency

Has anyone else felt like these companies that are supposedly "hiring" have NO sense of urgency whatsoever?

Im having companies move very slow and just drag their feet lately, also feeling like they need a lot of comfort and security over who they select for the job. There seems to be a tremendous amount of effort and thought into their selection. The funny thing is these jobs have all slashed their pay (sometimes in half) so NONE of them are even the least bit attractive to me and yet, they are still being so slow and picky!

Unfortunately, I have felt like the job market has been bad since 2022 and I dont see it improving!
