Can I still get a 4 or 5 on AP Bio if I basically have to self-study everything in a month?
Since the AP Bio exam is in about a month i’ve decided to start studying now but the thing is I don’t really know anything. On a lot of the unit tests I kinda just went in not understanding anything and just failed. Even when I did study a lot, the highest grades I got were like an 81% (Unit 1 and Unit 4), and my average on tests is mostly Fs so it makes me feel like even if I study I won’t even get a 3. My teacher also says he makes our tests harder than the AP test so that “if we can pass his tests then we should definitely understand the material for the real exam” but that just makes it hard to tell if I actually know enough. Also he doesn’t teach like at all. We don’t get slideshows, lectures or notes. All we do is labs and watch documentaries and he rarely explains anything. We also haven’t even finished all the units yet (we still have Unit 6 and we’ve been jumping around), and I feel like I have to teach myself everything. I’ve tried different study methods and videos (like AP Bio Penguins) and I still didn’t do well on tests so now I don’t even know what to change or add. I don’t learn well from just textbooks and I’m kinda a slow learner. Is it still realistic to get a 4 or 5 if I start seriously studying now? What resources or study methods are actually helpful??
