Confusion with payment VFS US- passport surrender

Hi all,

I submitted an application to San Francisco consulate for passport surrender in Mid March , I had paid 35$ for the service. And at that time I did not get the option of 2 way shipping.

For some mistake of mine, the application was returned to me.

Now I’m submitting another application and on the payment page, it shows the 2way shipping option as well which for 58$

I’m confused. Should I pay 2 way shipping so that after the application is processed vfs will send it back to me?

If I pay 1 way shipping how will the return be processed?

Last time, I had paid 35$ still they sent it back to me properly. I read online that I needed to add 0 in the return label. And it worked fine.
