Working as a nurse in the Navy

I'm currently in nursing school and my boyfriend is in pharmacy, planning on joining the Navy as soon as he graduates. I wanted to ask what's the flexibility and how easy it is to find inside the base if we do move in together. I will maybe have a 1-year experience as a nurse by the time he's already in a year working there. Is there anything unique you guys have experienced?
