I (21f) started a friendship with my coworker (28f) and now need advice on how to backtrack it

So I work at an Amazon distribution center. I (21F) made a friend we’ll call her Jay (28F). Jay is super funny, nice, and incredibly social, and we hit it off really well. So far, we’ve gone to a bar, and she’s been to my second job’s open mic that we host biweekly. She’s also coming again tomorrow. I’ve kind of come to realize that I might’ve shot myself in the foot by letting her into my life so quickly.

We’ve only been hanging out for about two weeks, but things have progressed really fast. We’ve made a lot of plans together—I even told her she could sell her art at my second job (she’s an artist).

I’ve pretty much given her access to like a third of my life by being so open and sharing so much. Jay has told me a LOT of things about herself. She’s told me a lot of details about her messed-up family life, her bad roommate situation, and that when she was younger she moved in with a man due to financial circumstances, got pregnant, and had to have an abortion.

She told me they broke up and he moved in with another girl he had been talking to on the side. She’s also told me about a stalker situation she had which was really really bad, like this guy was horrible. And just today at work, she told me she got into a physical!! altercation!!! with her roommate!! which resulted in her choking her roommate!!!🙃… The whole choking her roommate thing is kinda what’s finally making me go what have I gotten myself into and one stressing me the fuck out.

What the fuck do I do????

I work with her at Amazon!! and now I’ve let her into the environment of my second job too!! 🙃🙃🙃🫠I DONE FUCKED UPP!! How do I distance myself and ice her out? Has anyone here ever made a similar mistake—letting the wrong person in too quickly? The worst part is she’s so nice,😭 like genuinely!! If she hadn’t told me all of this herself, I wouldn’t have had any idea…

Any advice AT ALL or any similar experiences and how you’ve handled them would be INSANELY helpful.😭
