how do you choose what funko to use for a custom?

i don’t really know much about funkos but i really want to make customs of my two favourite characters! i was wondering if anyone had advice on how they find and pick ones they think suit characters?

(like is there some database that showcases all different funkos that exist???)

also the character descriptions if anyone has any ideas on the top of their head: they’re both from the 1800s, character A has an androgynous appearance and i’m leaning towards a female base, with long hair in a braid and is a writer so i want them to have a book or a pen! character B is male and has hair swept to the one side and wears pretty fancy clothes
