First time making a game! Where do i start?

Since the downfall of Grace (which i JUST started playing before simon and fynnee were called out), I've been motivated to try making my own game out of spite! I've taken a peek at blender and roblox studio and.. I have NO clue where to begin. I tried making a model in blender but literally nothing was happening to my cube.. and I've only touched the tutorial of roblox studio.

I'm hoping for the game to resemble Creatures of Sonaria and Prior Extinction in a way, in the sense that you can get all these super awesome and neat looking beasts without grinding for days or breaking the bank. There will be a story mode, a survival mode, and a roleplay/hangout mode.

I am fully aware that I'll definitely have to do some research first, but thats alright.
