I tried random “make money online” apps for a week, here’s what actually happened

So I went down a bit of a rabbit hole last week.

I kept seeing people talk about making money from apps, surveys, games, random tasks — and honestly, I didn’t believe most of it. But curiosity got me.

I ended up browsing through a bunch of lists on different sites, one of them was topmoneyapps, just to see what people are actually using these days. I picked a few apps from there and decided to test them myself.

Day 1–2:
It felt exciting at first. I was completing small tasks, answering surveys, even trying some “watch and earn” stuff. But I quickly noticed how slow everything was. Like… you spend 20 minutes and earn almost nothing.

Day 3–5:
That’s when reality hit. Some apps stopped giving tasks, some kept saying “no surveys available,” and one didn’t even track my progress properly.

Day 6–7:
I finally managed to reach a payout threshold on one app, but it was honestly way smaller than I expected for the time I spent.

Not saying everything is fake, some of them do pay, but it definitely made me realize this isn’t as easy as people make it sound online.

Now I’m kind of wondering…

Has anyone here actually found an app that’s genuinely worth the time? Or is it all just small side-change at best?
