First time watcher currently on Season 5... how are these people not in jail? (Rant)

Not that my opinion matters or is right, I just had to get this off my chest and tell someone else other than my Fiancé because I’ve been talking her ear off for sure. Also, yes, I know it is just a show, but it’s definitely crazy. LOL

So I am currently in Season 5 of Grey's and I think that although I get more and more annoyed with every episode, I can't stop watching it. Maybe I’m looking for the characters like Meredith, Alex Karev, and Izzie to actually face some type of consequence for their actions. They continue to do things that should absolutely cost them their jobs and somehow everything is okay. Their actions have not only hurt people but they have killed people.

Izzie literally cut Denny's LVAD wire. Also, all their whining and feeling sorry for themselves is just absolutely annoying—it’s as if they didn't do it to themselves. It was refreshing to see Dr. Hahn and Major Hunt give them such a hard time because everybody else just enables their behavior. Also, all that NASTY behavior going on in the on-call rooms is just so unsanitary. Like, that's so insane, but who knows—maybe that's actually what goes on in hospitals. LOL

The characters I personally like (in no specific order):

• Dr. Bailey: Should be the Chief, honestly.
• Dr. Montgomery: The GOAT.
• Dr. McSteamy: He is who he is and he's hilarious.
• Dr. Yang: She can be pretty unbearable at times, but definitely the most talented and serious about her career out of the core group.
• Dr. Burke: Cardio God

The Rest of the Group:

• Meredith: Insufferable. She was basically playing God with people’s lives during her little clinical trial.
• Izzie: Too emotional and dramatic. Again... she cut the LVAD wire.
• Alex Karev: Too gloomy and self-loathing. Also has a horrible attitude with everyone.
• George: Likes to act like he’s a "nice guy" but really he's just sleeping with everyone, breaking hearts, and cheated on Callie.
• Dr. Shepherd: Too obsessed and depressed over Meredith. Like, come on man, lock in. I think you've killed more people than you've saved so far.
• Dr. Torres: Just too damn horny and did Dr. Hahn so dirty.
• Chief Webber: Enables everybody to act the way they do and often ignores Dr. Bailey’s input.

Now, I am only on Season 5, so I'm sure (hoping) there is some character development that goes on, but there is definitely a reason their hospital ranking dropped to #12.

Writing this made me laugh because I don't ever think I've been this worked up over a show—especially one that I am years late on. Haha! Hope you enjoyed my rant, thanks for listening.
