OpenClaw fails at agentic behaviour

Help

Hey, I waited for some weeks before writing this post to make sure that it was not a small issue on my side that could be fixed with some researches.

I want my openclaw agent to be "fully autonomous", I obviously know that the agent will need some permissions approval or confirmations / help for hard-blocking issues but I would really like my agent to work and understand by itself.

Here is the issue I ran into (explained with 2 examples):

1: When asking my openclaw to create some discord channels for me to manage my openclaw instance, it instantly says that there is no such tool installed and stops there, if I guide him and say him to look for tools / scripts online, he creates scripts and is coming back at me asking for me to create a discord bot to do so (despite my openclaw talking to me via a discord bot), after pointing it out, it figured it out and after 2/3 more failures, it succeded to create those discord channels, it was not a capability issue but more a workflow one

2: When sending hermes agent a voice message (not openclaw but same behavious and same domain, I believe that i would have done the same thing on openclaw): it says that there is no tts tool installed and stops there, despite having the rights and permissions to install a tts tool and again, it needs guidance over and over again, making each of my call to an agent useless because I mostly do all the work

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Of course I did not expect my agent to be autonomous out of the box, that is why i tried to configure it that way with instructions, skills and a detailed thought process but it NEVER actually worked, it always stops there and told that he failed because he should have searched for tools but actually never does it...

I know that what we see online is not always real but I saw multiple peoples having agents that installed things themselves and always figured it out and I do not understand how is this achieved

I'm open to all questions / context precisions if needed and I know that I'm not the only one having this issue.

Thanks a lot.
Btw: this post isn't written by any ai or thing like that, I'm French so English isn't my native language, please forgive my mistakes
