Diffusion of All We Hold

Tell me without telling me how we connect this powerfully and how we’ve held on this long.

You let the “WE’s” slip with exacting pretense, as if you wish us so.

And so we do, and here we are, and I relive each and every one, longingly. “WE are going to be just fine”, you promise early on. In the end of times, a dystopian fiction; the world burns around us as ten kings rise, but you and I…? In that time of uncertainty and place of unsound surroundings, we are two lovers draped in clovers, apparently.

I keep on to the end of your tongue, pressing this madness between my index and thumb, forgetting to breathe in as you’ve let each WE slip.

In a lapse ecstatic I moan loudly as you fuck me. “ Quiet! We don’t want to get evicted!”. This is madness. I’ve barely let you in.

you’ve taken my breath at the end of each kiss, and we are weaving abundantly back and forth like this. We are a surprise, I think to myself, as we walk together, holding hands for the first time.

I want to blame you, but that wouldn’t be quite right. “We did this”, I recall you yelling at me, under a penumbral eclipse, long ago, the early March night.
