(Aus) How to get into Dogman/Rigging work?

Bris/Gold Coast based. Been labouring for a few months but my goal has always been to move into an actual skill. Obviously I need my Dogmans licence, but how do you actually get hired?

Only site I’ve worked with a crane the dogman I spoke to suggested labouring on a site with a crane and trying to lend a hand to the dogman as a way to get a little experience.
