Army Realignment Questions

If anyone's willing to share, looking for some clarifications from what I have heard. My unit hasn't been impacted, and we're told we won't be but I am still nervous. Looking for clarification from anyone that may have been dealing with this horrendous situation.

-Is there severance or no severance if you get relocated out of area and don't want to do it? The law seems to say it does, but between the things i have read and meetings i have listened to it seems to be up in the air.

-It also seems that everyone if they separate is eligible for a VSIP, regardless of service time, and it's capped at 25k or the lesser severance that you could be owed. Which just sounds odd.

-Is there the 57 to 62 supplement if you take a VERA. Normally that's never in question, and know people in the past who took VERA where they got the supplement. But i have seen FAQ's saying that the supplement may not be available with this VERA.

With that said, it sounds like more of the same. Last year, I wish the DRP had just been "here's VERA/VSIP for all eligible, if you want to go now, we'll give you severance", at least it was easy to understand.
