Long time lurker, but fairly new to the hobby. I humbly come before this esteemed community with a frustrating problem. I’ve searched this forum, Reddit in general, and the web without finding a reference to this issue, although my Google-fu may be failing me.

I have a Voxelab Aquila with the G32 chip. When I acquired it and until the other day it was running Marlin-jyersUI build 1.3.5. I am upgrading a few components one at a time, and a 3D Touch was going to be my next project. I am wanting to install MRiscoCProUI without the touch probe to make sure the firmware works, then upgrade to the 3D Touch and MRiscoCProUI with the sensor.

I found the Github page that helped me select the correct file, and left out any extras (shaping, etc). I flashed the printer firmware and the screen with the matching DWIN\_SET. Almost everything seemed to be working, except where there should be numbers there are boxes of garbage pixels. Some of them move, for example what looks like the temperature of the bed and hot end heating up.

I have tried several other firmwares, even the original Voxelab one. All have the same problem. I formatted two different 8GB SD cards on windows with Fat32 and allocation unit size of 4096, and reformatted a 64Gb card as an 8 with the same specs. No hidden Mac files. All seemed to upload firmware but no improvement with the numbers. I tried putting about five different .HZK fonts into the DWIN\_SET folder and flashing the screen itself without change.

At this point I’m repeating things over & over and hoping for a different result. So rather than go insane, I’m asking this hive mind for help. I have a feeling it’s something small I’ve overlooked.

Thanks in advance, and in retrospect for all you’ve already taught me.

Flashed screen turns numbers to gibberish
