Flight delayed by 5 hours 55 mins

My SpiceJet flight from Ahmedabad to Bengaluru got delayed from 5:50 AM to 11:45 AM (~5 hr 55 min).

I’ve been informed in advance, and the flight is still operating. The issue is this delay messes up my plans after landing,I had a booking scheduled around 2 PM which I’ll now miss.(The loss would be of 1200 rs which is not a small amount that I can just ignore it)

What are my best options here?

•	Should I ask for a refund or alternate flight?

•	Or just take the flight and not bother?

And moreover When I try web check-in, it forces me to pay for seat selection and doesn’t allow auto-assign, so I’m probably going to have to check in at the airport bcoz I don’t want to pay 300 extra just to book a seat
