My Fear of Turbulence + Flying Into Denver

Support Wanted

This is my fourth time needing to fly into Denver and I am really scared to book the flight, I am literally considering to drive from DFW instead of flying. Is flying into Denver bumpy during the summer or is it just ranked #1 due to the winter winds?

I don't know how to cure my fear even though I fly alot, I keep telling myself that it is perfectly fine and safe but for some reason I feel like my heart races a lot and I literally can't control myself from jumping out of my seat even during light turbulence. The problem isn't just on a plane, it is also on some boats and buses also. I'm noticing that it is coming during high-speed transportation, such as when a bus is going on a high speed and there are bumps on the road or when a catamaran is going through waves at a really quick speed. Can anyone tell me what is the root cause of this, because almost every single "Get Over Turbulence" post on Reddit, I can't seem to cure this fear... It is a very indescribable feeling but I feel like squeezing the person next to me during turbulence, and I feel like screaming uncontrollably. Another add-on to this is that I didn't have this before the pandemic, but after my first flight to Las Vegas in 2022 after the pandemic started to slow down, that was when the turbulence fear started.

How to cure this? All advice is truly appreciated, I will be so grateful if I will be confident and able to fly on my next trip to Denver.
