JWST Team: Let's Give Proxima Centauri b More Time—Our Nearest Exoplanet Might Be Habitable!

Hey James Webb team! Proxima Centauri b is just 4.2 light-years away—our closest neighbor. Models from 2025-2026 suggest the star's flares have calmed, and if it has a strong magnetic field (high iron in the core), it could hold a dense atmosphere, liquid water, and even bio-signatures like O2 + CH4.

We've already seen weird pulses in phase curves... but nothing solid yet. What if we push for more MIRI/NIRSpec time in Cycle 6? Long-term observations could confirm real oxygen and water vapor.

This would be the discovery of the century! (Based on sims showing flares don't wipe everything out if there's a magnetosphere.)

This is just my take—I think it fits astrobiology, but don't take it too seriously. Not an order, just what makes sense to me. Thoughts?
