Game is legit unplayable

I wanted to try this game since it looked good and my friend said the matchmaking is good and skill based. I started solo queuing and for about 8 matches in a row as a level 7 I’m getting full stacked against whole squads who’s are level 180+ and emerald and ruby skins. How am I even supposed to start this game?
