Why does sunlight feel so much hotter on some days?

I've Googled & asked AI, but the answers don't seem to truly explain the variance I sometimes feel. Regardless of the ambient air temperature, some days the direct sun seems to be beaming hot, while other days (maybe only a day or 2 apart) it might be mild or even not noticeable.
